Pieces Of Me

If dreams are the stories our brain tells us during sleep, and quilts are used to tell stories and preserve cultural heritage, then my remixed series seeks to interweave these personal stories and dreams into one world. I associate my memories with color, the color fields or grids in these works reference the pieces of fabric on a quilt. Like a musician would sample beats from various songs into a remix, this work combines elements of my paintings and my Imperfectly Perfect paintings. This series, like a quilt, weaves together dreams and memories to create entirely new stories.
