“Born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, I've always had a passion for creating. As a young girl, my birthday and Christmas wishlists revolved primarily around one theme... "art stuff." Barbies and dolls were never really a thing for me... but anything that I could make with my own two hands, I wanted! Paint sets, crayons, clay, beads. Basically any and every "thing" that could be made into "something" would keep me occupied for hours on end.
You know the isle at Hobby Lobby with nothing but craft kits?
Yep. My FAVORITE isle. Ever.
I began my art career while working my way through college, earning my Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from Louisiana State University. I practiced in the field for 7 years, painting “on the side” every chance I had. Being a wife and mom to two toddlers, finding time to paint while working was difficult. But there’s something special about an artist’s heart… a light that can’t be dimmed. Over time, and with a lot of determination and grit, I grew my art business from local shows to selling pieces to collectors across the country! It wasn’t until very recently that I decided to take a leap of faith and become a full-time artist.
To be able to turn a lifetime passion into a blossoming business venture is exciting, surreal, and at times frightening, but I am so beyond blessed and thankful to be able to create and share my love for art with you all.
